Macquarie Links International Golf Club
in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, has opened for play. The par-72,
6,900-yard golf course, surrounded by mature gum trees and native
grasslands, gives golfers the authentic feel of Australian landscape,
despite being only 22 miles from Sydney’s central business district.
Renowned golf course architect Robin Nelson designed the course based on a
combination of traditional Scottish courses and Australian sandbelt courses.
The clubhouse includes private meeting and dining rooms, men’s and women’s
locker rooms, a pro shop, and a practice range.

Signature and Associate Gold members now have access to
the Foundation Rooms, private clubs located within the House of Blues
entertainment clubs in Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. In
addition to dining facilities and lounges, each Foundation Room club
presents a wide variety of live musical and entertainment acts — including

LEDBETTER GOLF ACADEMY OPENS AT BARTON CREEK
Members can now take advantage of learning golf at the
David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Barton Creek, a recent addition to The
Pinehurst Company Golf Institute at Barton Creek
in Austin, Texas. Leadbetter’s philosophies and expertise will be an
integral part of the instruction at the state-of-the-art facility, which
features computer and video equipment, covered hitting bays, and a
short-game learning center.

WOMEN'S GOLF SCHOOL
Several Associate Clubs in Austin, Texas, will provide
the golf venues for the "Tee to Green, Swinging in Harmony" women’s golf
instruction programs. The two four-night instruction courses offer
specialized and individual programs for both experienced and beginner
golfers. Led by golf instructor, author, and columnist Barbara Puett, the
clinics will be held May 19-23 and Sept. 8-12. The golf courses are the Live Oak Golf Course
and the Yaupon Golf Course,
part of the Clubs of Lakeway,
and River Place Country Club.
The September session also will use the Falls golf course at the Hills Country Club,
set to open in July. The Lake Austin Spa Resort will provide overnight

The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System of Canada (ACSSC)
has designated Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Toronto, Ontario, as a
Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary golf course. Rattlesnake Point Golf Club
has been awarded the distinction for providing a sanctuary for wildlife on
the property, reducing water consumption and chemical use, and implementing
an environmental education program for the members and the local public.
LONG DRIVE COMPETITION FOR JUNIORS
