FLINTROCK FALLS COURSE OPENS IN AUSTIN, TEXAS
Jack Nicklaus will hit the commemorative first drive Sept. 17 when the
new Flintrock Falls course celebrates its grand opening at the
Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas.
Flintrock Falls is the first course in Central Texas co-designed by Jack
Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II. After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the
pair will play the 18-hole course for a gallery of members.

Championships-EMC World Cup (Dec. 12-15) at

PINEHURST NO. 7 REFURBISHED
Work is under way on course No. 7 at
Pinehurst in the Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina. The
18-hole Rees Jones-designed course will be closed until mid-December while
the greens are rebuilt, an automated irrigation system is installed, and
some of the course’s tees and fairways are reworked.
