OCEAN EDGE IN CAPE COD JOINS CLUBRESORT FAMILY
ClubCorp has added Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster,
Massachusetts, to its ClubResorts roster. Located on 400 acres adjacent to
Cape Cod Bay in Cape Cod, Ocean Edge features guest rooms and villas, 18
holes of championship golf, 11 outdoor tennis courts, two indoor and four
outdoor pools, four restaurants, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The
historic Cape Cod Trail stretches 26 miles to the National Seashore.
CONSTRUCTION BEGINS THIS SPRING ON APPLECROSS CLUB
ClubCorp has entered into a development and acquisition agreement with
Pulte Homes of Delaware Valley residential community in Downingtown (35
miles west of Philadelphia) to develop Applecross Country Club, an
18-hole private club. Construction on the golf course is slated to begin
this spring and is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2007. The club
will feature a Nicklaus Design golf course, a 22,000-square-foot clubhouse,
and a 19,000-square-foot sports center, including exercise facilities,
indoor and outdoor pools, and two outdoor tennis courts. In addition, an
existing barn will be converted into an indoor basketball court and golf
cart storage facility.
ALISO VIEJO RENOVATIONS
Eighteen holes of golf will remain open for play during upcoming
renovations and construction at Aliso Viejo Golf Club in Orange
County, California. ClubCorp recently announced the sale of 80 acres of
residential land to the city of Aliso Viejo and has agreed to develop and
manage a city-owned community conference center, an aquatic facility, and a
park on the land. Also, a new clubhouse will be built at the golf club,
which will be reduced from 27 holes of golf to 18.
EAGLE’S LANDING ADDS NINE HOLES OF GOLF
Nine holes of golf have been added at Eagle’s Landing Country Club
in Stockbridge, Georgia, bringing the total number of holes to 27. Tom Fazio,
the architect for the original 18 holes, also designed the additional nine.
The club, which is the site of the LPGA’s Chick-fil-A Charity Championship
Hosted by Nancy Lopez (April 17-23), features practice facilities, a
plantation-style clubhouse, two swimming pools, and six tennis courts.

CHARITABLE GIVING AT COLUMBIA TOWER CLUB
• The 15th annual Washington Wines Festival will be held March 11 at the
Columbia Tower Club in Seattle. More than 30 winemakers will offer
their latest vintages for tastings. The event will benefit the Yakima Valley
Farm Workers Clinic and the Washington Wine Commission’s scholarship fund.

• Columbia Tower Club also will be the site for the 3rd Annual James Bond
Monte Carlo Casino Night on April 29. Proceeds from the event will benefit
the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Rise and Shine Foundation. Tickets for
the event, which is presented by the Tower 35 board, are $100 for members
and $125 for guests. Last year’s event raised $14,000 for charity, and this

• The Cascades Course is undergoing a renovation and will be open for
play in May. The renovation will focus on refurbishing the bunkers and
restoring the course to its original design created by William Floyd more
than 80 years ago.
Pinehurst Resort
Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina
• A new Kids Club facility will open this spring, featuring a kids-only
putting green, near the West Lawn and the playground. Half- and full-day
activities, including scavenger hunts, swimming, movies, and music, are
available for children staying at the resort. The new additions come just in
time for the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship, to be played at Pinehurst
July 26-30.
• The championship flight of the 2006 N.C. Open, North Carolina’s croquet
singles tournament, will be held at Pinehurst March 30-April 2. A qualifying
