PASADERA MEMBERSHIPS
A limited number of non-resident memberships at Pasadera Country Club
in Monterey, California, are available to members who do not own or
occupy a primary or secondary residence and/or business within 75 miles of
Pasadera Country Club. The National ClubCorp Golf Membership allows
non-resident individuals and families who are existing members in good
standing to apply for the golf membership privilege at Pasadera. Golf, swim,
tennis, fitness, and full clubhouse privileges will be extended to the
member, spouse, and all children under the age of 23. Members will have the
use of a locker room for the duration of their visit. In addition, the
National Golf Membership is available to non-resident individuals and
families who are not members of a ClubCorp club. For more membership and

PARDON OUR DUST
• Aspen Glen Club in Carbondale, Colorado, has broken ground on
the construction of a Half-Way House. Amenities will include a snack bar,
women’s and men’s restrooms, and tennis court equipment storage. The
architect is John Muir.
• Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club, northeast of Nashville, Tennessee,
continues a major clubhouse renovation project, with a scheduled summer
completion.
• The Club at Falcon Point near Houston has completed the
reconstruction of its greens and greenside bunkers. The renovation also
included the change of five holes on the course. The club now welcomes
Houston Society play.
WGC AT FIRESTONE
With an agreement that spans from 2006 to 2010, the Bridgestone brand
has become title sponsor of the World Golf Championships tournament at
Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. The World Golf
Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, slated for Aug. 22-27, features a
field of elite players.

• Barton Creek will celebrate its 20th anniversary at a party Oct. 5.
That’s also the weekend the national championship football team from the
University of Texas at Austin will be playing the University of Oklahoma in
the traditional "Texas-OU" game in Dallas.

• The 15th Annual Homestead Cup will be held at the resort May 26-29.
The event is one of the premier shooting events in the United States.
Ocean Edge Resort & Club

• The Nicklaus Companies has begun a $6 million renovation on the Ocean
Edge golf course on Cape Cod. The renovation will include reshaping fairways
and new greens built to U.S. Golf Association specifications. Work will be
completed one nine at a time, thus allowing nine holes for play.
Pinehurst Resort
Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina
• Pinehurst No. 2, venue for the 1999 and 2005 U.S. Open Championships,
now has its own logo. Reminiscent of the Open logos, the No. 2 logo adapts
the "golf lad" for the image that will be featured on merchandise in
Pinehurst’s 10 retail shops beginning in late spring. The design also
incorporates "1907," the year that legendary golf architect Donald Ross
completed the design of the course. (Note: The "golf lad" is different from
the "putter boy" used in Pinehurst’s signature logo.) For examples of new
