RENOVATIONS
• Construction at Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia, is scheduled for completion by August. The project includes a new bar area, a patio expansion, and remodeling of the bistro kitchen.
• A $2.8 million project is under way at Houston City Club in Texas to renovate the club arrival areas, including the lobby and reception area, and to create a more contemporary restaurant, bar, and lounge. In addition, the club will expand the locker rooms, group exercise studios, and snack bar, and add a yoga studio and retail space.

• The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is leaving the United States for the first time in its 24-year history. The event, which has been played in Hawaii for the past 12 years, is slated for Oct. 16-17 in Bermuda.
• Tiger Woods will develop a golf course in Dubai. Scheduled to open in late-2009, Tiger Woods Dubai will feature a par-72, 7,700-yard course, 60,000-square-foot clubhouse, golf academy, 320 villas, and a boutique hotel with 80 suites.
