CHUCK COOK (AND HIS GOLF ACADEMY STAFF) WANTS TO HELP YOU Fill out the survey and get tips on your game from the pros. When Chuck Cook talks, people listen. After all, this is the guy who is widely regarded as one of America’s top golf instructors. And, c’mon, he’s coached golfers such as Payne Stewart, Corey Pavin, and Tom Kite to U.S. Open victories. Who wouldn’t listen? So it’s no surprise that his Chuck Cook Golf Academy at Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, has become destination travel for motivated golfers each year. Students come wanting to learn his golf principles and how they can apply them to their own games. “The golf school is designed to give students a method for developing their games,” Cook explains. “This might involve winning the fourth flight of your club championship or perhaps winning the U.S. Open.” The academy offers a full roster of options on how to improve your game, including an intensive three-day total golf program, a two-day short-game school, and schools for women-only, juniors, and families. Programs are available most of the year, but even Texas has an off-season during the winter — so here’s the perfect opportunity to get a few pointers from the Chuck Cook Golf Academy staff and work on those weaknesses before next season. This year, the Chuck Cook Golf Academy takes the reins of what has become a Private Clubs tradition — our annual golf evaluation. Just fill out the form on the following page, or answer the questions on Private Clubs Online. The golf academy’s staff will evaluate your responses and, via return e-mail or mail, help you determine where your game stands. So turn the page, and get started on improving your game now!
