PARDON OUR DUST
• Diamond Run Golf Club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, has completed renovations on the golf course to add new netting on the driving range, install permanent tees, and improve cart paths. In addition, the club has added a new awning on the patio and new lighting outside the clubhouse and parking lot.
• The Club at Falcon Point in Katy, Texas, has completed landscaping around the front of the clubhouse, added new carpet throughout the clubhouse, and placed new wallpaper in the mixed grill and main dining room.
INDUSTRY NEWS
• Tiger Woods has signed a deal with Gatorade to introduce his own brand of sports drink. Gatorade Tiger, available in a cherry blend, citrus blend, and grape, will debut in March.
• The United States Golf Association and Royal & Ancient Golf Club have amended 28 of the 34 Rules of Golf, making a few significant changes, including reducing the penalty when a ball deflects off a golfer. The penalty has been reduced from loss of hole in match play to one shot in stroke play and match play. The revised rules went into effect at the first of the year.
