Behind the Bar: Dane Sanders
Bartending experience: 12 years
Club:
Shadowridge Country Club, Vista, California
Dane,
who trained under a longtime private club bartender, says he was first attracted
to the occupation by the personal interaction with members. “I like the
opportunity to make the members feel at home and ‘wow’ them,” he says. Here are
a few more tidbits from Dane’s perspective:
A good bartender … Remembers names, knows members’ drink preferences, and
is a good listener.
What’s next? Possibly the creation of futuristic glassware? I believe the
spirit world is overly infused!
Most requested: Margaritas up with a shaker.
Most unusual request: A nice single malt with cola.
Fantasy drinking buddy: I would have a drink with Tiger Woods at the
Masters after he just won it.
Drink of choice: Pacifico with a lime and a sipper of Gran Centenario
tequila.
