New York's Hudson Valley got a bit more posh with the addition of this new property from the Dream Hotel Group in May. Housed in a historic former factory-turned-recording-studio, the hotel has 133 guest rooms, seven suites, a pool deck and outdoor lounge, meeting and event space, and a 150-seat steakhouse restaurant. A rooftop lounge with views of the Hudson River is set to open later this year. Designed by firm Glen & Co. Architecture, the decor is whimsical with an urban loft-style aesthetic.

DUBAI: JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS HOTEL DUBAI
Named the world's tallest hotel by the Guinness Book of World Records, the new JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai makes a striking statement in Dubai's skyline. Comprised of two 1,165-foot towers - the first of which officially opened this past February, while the second is slated to debut in 2014 - the hotel intentionally resembles the statuesque trunks of date palm trees, symbols of Arabian culture. LONDON: ME LONDON
The first hotel designed inside and out by acclaimed architecture firm Foster + Partners, the recently opened ME London exudes contemporary cool. OSLO, NORWAY: THE THIEF

The brainchild of Australian hotel magnate David Seargeant, QT Sydney hotel is slated to debut Sept. 17 in two historic, adjoined buildings: State Theatre and Gowings, once home to the department store of the same name. Retaining the structures' gothic facades, the 200-room downtown abode will feature new bespoke furniture, bold color schemes, and modern touches like commissioned digital artwork by artist Daniel Boyd. LAS VEGAS: NOBU HOTEL CAESARS PALACE
Slated to open in late 2012, the world's first celebrity-chef branded hotel will transform Sin City's Caesars Palace into an energetic space reflecting Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Designer David Rockwell and Nobu Hospitality, whose partners include Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro, will deck the halls with origami-inspired light fixtures and flooring that conjures up images of cherry blossoms. Draped in neutral tones, rooms will showcase 100 percent Egyptian cotton linens and custom art - most prominently, calligraphy on feature walls - by up-and-coming Japanese artists. Make yourself at home in oversized walk-in showers with traditional black Umi tiles and multiple showerheads. Hotel guests not only receive priority seating at the new 11,200-square-foot restaurant and lounge, but also get 24-hour access to the cuisine via the first-ever Nobu in-room dining menu.
