Dear Members and Guests,

Not a moment too soon, it’s spring! Global warming notwithstanding, the Northeast has enjoyed (?) record-breaking snowfall, while Los Angeles has enjoyed (?) six times the amount of rain experienced in 2007. Oh well, as Cubs fans know, hope springs eternal. Thanks for all the rave reviews we have received on our new clubs in Phoenix and for your reaction to our business and sports “redesigns” in Houston, Chicago, and Memphis, with Dallas and Honolulu soon to come.

As we have mentioned on several occasions, ClubCorp is adding emphasis on fitness and wellness programs and facilities. We are thrilled to announce our parent company KSL Capital Partners has purchased one of the premier health and wellness companies in the U.S., Western Athletic Clubs (see www.westernathleticclubs.com). With current locations in California, WAC will provide additional benefits to our Signature Gold program and valuable assistance in our efforts to improve all our clubs’ fitness and wellness programs. Finally, I hope you’ve made plans to join us at this year’s Acura ClubCorp Team Championships held once again at the beautiful Pinehurst Resort. The Business/Sports Club/Society Championship will be held July 9-13, while the Country Club/Resort Championship will be held Sept. 3-7. Don’t forget to mark Sept. 26 on your calendars and bring your friends to the Second Annual ClubCorp Charity Classic. All ClubCorp clubs will open our doors to Members and the public to raise money for 1) your club’s charity of choice, 2) the MDA’s Augie’s Quest, and 3) our own Employee Partners Care Foundation.
