Way to Grow!
ClubCorp’s latest purchase will expand the company’s network by 31 percent
Load up your gear and get ready for a chance to access a lot more golf.
In August, ClubCorp signed an agreement to acquire Atlanta-based Sequoia Golf, which owns and manages 50 golf, country, and business clubs in the U.S. Once the ink dries on the deal, ClubCorp will increase its network from 159 to 209 clubs and add more than 27,000 memberships. The new additions will include 27 clubs in the Atlanta area and seven in the Houston area, such as the 63-hole Woodlands Country Club, home of the Champions Tour’s Insperity Invitational. The company will now have a presence in the Chicago and Denver golf markets, as well.
ClubCorp plans to continue its reinvention strategy with these newly acquired clubs during the next two years, improving the golf courses and practice facilities, creating or updating indoor and outdoor dining areas, adding family-friendly pool amenities, and enhancing fitness facilities.
