About Mike
Mike was born in Missoula, Montana and grew up in Portland, Oregon. He attended Oregon State University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business, specifically in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. While at OSU he married his wife Shemi, a rival University of Oregon Duck – never a dull moment in his house! Mike is a Club Management Association of America scholarship recipient and has achieved his Certified Club Manager and Honor Society accreditations. During his career, Mike has worked at clubs in six states ranging from Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania to the Spokane Club in Washington State. With over 30 years in the private club industry, including a decade in his favorite state, Colorado, he brings our team a wealth of experience and knowledge. Mike and Shemi have 2 children, Shane who lives in Portland, Oregon and Danielle who lives in Grand Junction, Colorado.

About James
A native of Big Rapids, MI, James was born into a sports family. Both parents hailed from Ferris State University and were voted into the coaching Hall of Fame. Post-graduation from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant, MI, he played baseball at Kellogg Community College. James finished his baseball career at Davenport University, where he also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Upon graduation, James interned for the West Michigan Whitecaps before working full-time in the front office with the Detroit Lions. James' career in sports continued at William Penn University, where he coached football and baseball. While coaching, James also achieved his Master’s Degree in Business Leadership. James' diverse sports background continued when he enrolled at Harry Wendelstedt Professional Baseball Umpire School. He spent five seasons umpiring professional baseball for the MiLB. During his umpire career, James would spend his off seasons working at various lodges and restaurants throughout Snowmass and Aspen. After medical complications ended his umpire career, James moved to Aspen full time for three years while working as Marketing and Sales Director of Dwyer Greens and Flowers as well as became the Assistant GM of the St. Moritz Lodge. James then began his career with Invited Clubs as Membership Director at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Michigan for two seasons before joining the Aspen Glen Team.
